Honest mechanic pulls no punches on repairs

Tony was recommended by a friend who typically fixes their own car but when it surpasses their skill set they take it to Schep's. My experience has be beyond solid. Tony is excellent, fair and kind. I would definitely recommend this garage.

Tony is an honest guy with integrity which is so hard to find nowadays. Did great work on my previous car. He just solved a complex electrical issue I had on a car i bought from a shiesty individual. Thank you Tony!!

Last week I took my 1998 Jeep Cherokee into Schep's to have the "clicking sound under the front end, especially when I'm turning" diagnosed. Tony checked it out and let me know that the u-joints needed replacing. He was honest in his quote for the repair and even warned that it would be "expensive," although the actual price was less than my partner and I were expecting. In fact, the full price landed right in the middle of his high/low estimates. My Jeep was fixed the day after I took it in - we weren't sure if it would take up to three days. Tony was helpful, extremely knowledgeable, and explained everything. He also didn't insist on any other fixes (the Jeep is 21 yrs old, there is plenty that COULD be fixed but isn't necessary).

I highly recommend Schep's. Especially if you drive a Jeep, although there were plenty of other models being worked on at the time too.

Yes sir..Lansing, this is the place to go. Do not go to Tuffy. Do not go to Meinke. Or any other national chain that will rip you off if you're clueless like moi. I only went here because it was right next to my apt but it turned out to be well worth it. I straight up told the guy there - do it as cheap as possible. Not paying jacked up rates. He charged me under $100 including parts/labor/everything to fix a broken AC/heater. It needed a new blower motor. After some Googling, I discovered this was an amazing price and was a pretty happy girl.

I took my car to Tony after receiving an insane price quote from another institution. I called Tony to explain and when I told him the price he was immediately sympathetic and told me I could bring it in the next week and he would see what he could do for far far less.

I dropped my car off the night before as I work during his hours and received a call after just a couple hours of the shop being open. Tony informed me that there was nothing wrong with my car at all and he could not see a leak that the other place had be speaking to. He said he could keep my car and continue to do tests throughout the day including a drive test.

Tony saved me $1,000 in repairs on something that did not need to be repaired and was very honest about the whole process and called me every couple hours as he could tell I was very nervous since I had just been scammed by another place. I needed new tires and he got me an AMAZING deal on tires and charged very little for installation and got rid of my old (very beat up) tires for me for free.

Tony is AWESOME and I will be a loyal customer for life
